I’ve been trying to steer my kids away from sugary, processed foods even more lately. You know, if I am not eating sugar, why should my kids, right? Anyway, to facilitate this transition, I’ve moved the glass jars of nuts out of the pantry and onto the counter—if you’re hungry between meals, have a few nuts or a piece of fruit.
On Sunday when Bradford and I were driving Baby Van back home from the mechanic, he pulled a bunch of pistachios out of his pocket and began to eat them. I commented on it, and he said he almost always had a pocketful of pistachios. How smart! Then he added, “I almost always have a Lego man in my pocket, too, but I don’t eat them.”
