the Girls Mature

It’s true that kids really do grow up, and sometimes the things they leave behind in childhood should be left, and none too quickly, and maybe only with the diligent assistance of parents, like the temper tantrums and pouting.

Then there are the cute things they do, which of course would not be cute if I did them, so those, too, must be left behind, but here on my blog I can remember and smile.  For instance, it would get very tedious for my older children to shout “Gas!  We’re passing gas!” every time they saw a gas station, yet when the twins did it innocently we thought it highly amusing.  Alas, when we were driving recently, they informed me it was a “gas station,” not “gas.”
