Bradford Plays the Harmonica

I know Bradford gets a lot of air time here, and the simple reason is he is more interesting to write about than the others.  When Mark took the boys hiking up Kennesaw Mountain, Ben and Nate bought souvenir pens, which are nice but not altogether interesting.  Bradford, however, has little use for a pen, so he opted for a harmonica—and learned to play Joy To the World on the car trip home.  He plays it a lot.  He’s a natural, and even my dad is impressed by his skill after playing the thing for only three days.

On Thursday night, he slept on the couch in the middle of my parents’ house, and he wanted to play the harmonica as he went to sleep.  He was playing quietly enough, I guess, but the sound in that room carries to the rest of the house and EVERYONE could plainly hear him.  The following night he said he needed to sleep on the couch in the front room because the dishwasher was too loud.  Yeah.

Mark said Bradford could play the harmonica at the Terrace and please a lot of the residents, and the harmonica can be carried in a pocket, making it more portable than his trombone.  As for playing an instrument while in bed (or on a couch), a harmonica is less cumbersome than the trombone.
